I am pleased to announce that we have been in business for more than seven years in the city of Chicago. I am very proud of this as a single founder of a small business in an industry full of big corporate brands and social trends that come and go quite quickly. I would like to thank you for being part of my pack which is part of the reason C.A.T. can exist. Thank you for your business and partnership in recommending me and for being my main source of continued growth and support.
Hi, My name is Brian K Martinez Flores.
Here is a little bit about myself and the love I have for animals.
Growing up in a house full of pets, I don't remember a time when I wasn't surrounded by them. I was born into a house that loved all types of pets. My parents always taught me to respect and care for them. I grew up with a variety of them. I had two dogs, an American Staffordshire Terrier named Greta and a Lhasa Apso named Maxi; I also had a cat named Camila, five turtles, two Australian parakeets, a rabbit, and a gorgeous duck named Donald, with whom I have very fond childhood memories.
I've been filling my life with pets ever since. I currently have a few rescued pups of my own; They are my best friends, and they brighten my life. I currently volunteer at a few shelters when the time allows. I am happy to say that I have the best "job" in the world. The reason why I put the word "job" in quotations is that I don't see it as a job; it's more of a hobby that became a business and that I truly enjoy doing. One of my many goals in life is to always make sure all animals around me feel loved, comfortable, safe, and happy. I truly believe pets are more than just pets. To me, they are family!
Despite my many Muay Thai training trips to Thailand, meeting KB (King Boy) back in 2019 stands out the most from my other trips. KB was an abandoned pup who used to live beneath a pavilion near a breakfast restaurant in Phuket, Thailand.
One Sunday morning, I went to have breakfast at this place called Gallery Café. As I got off the motorbike, this pup who came out of nowhere jumped on me, but it was not just any jump; it was a special jump, more of a hug and that's when we both knew that we would become best friends.
I was with my cousin Josh and a few friends, and while we were waiting for our food inside the restaurant, I told them, "I really like that pup; I will bring him to America," but they didn't believe me. A month later, I was picking up KB at O'Hare International Airport. And since then, he has been the king of the house.
I might not be able to change the world, but I surely was able to change a life.
Here are some of my passions.
At the age of five, my parents enrolled me in martial arts. My very first martial art back in Mexico City was Tae Kwon Do.
I have been a martial artist ever since.
I have been taught throughout the many years and many different martial arts I've practiced that hard work always comes with discipline, and discipline becomes a habit.
Judo and Aikido were my first martial arts in America when I was 11. In high school, I wrestled varsity level, and after high school, I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and a little bit of Russian Sambo.
Being able to train, practice, teach, and overcome the tournaments has helped me tremendously in staying focused and always giving my very best in everything I do.
I also enjoy singing, dancing, working out, and eating a lot (I love Mexican food; it really is my favorite), but most of all, I enjoy being surrounded by pups. Pups really give that special touch to my active lifestyle.
Very special thanks to Blanca M. who has been essential to the growth of C.A.T.
She is the architect of the idea for creating a pet business, and that was a huge step for C.A.T. to become a reality.
She has always been responsible and extremely committed to helping care for all boardings.
She always looks out for the pups' comfort, safety, and happiness.
She is probably the number one human all pups love when they come to my place.
Thank you Mimi for all your hard work and effort.
I want to give special recognition to Victoria M. for her contribution to C.A.T.
She is in charge of website design, software development, communication, and innovation.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication Vicky girl.
